Last Day of Work
Today is my final day of work before beginning school. Almost every morning for the last 4 years I've wandered through the dark brown lobby, checked my messages on the the familiar black phone, punched my password into the SIGNET system. The big brown building is sort of a comfortable second home, where I spend a huge portion of my waking hours and recognise most of the people in the cafeteria.
But as much as I will miss the familiarity and all of the people that I've met, I'm excited to start my new adventure and to get to know a new city. Still, it's sort of bittersweet to think this morning will be last time wandering in and next time I'm here there will be a sea of new faces.

Good luck in Vancouver this fall! I'm sure it will be a nice break, although I hear law school is a pretty demanding environment. I'll give you a call if I find myself in Vancouver within the next three years.
Make sure you get in touch if you make it to England.

Hello Hilary,
I decided to check out your website since things in Almaty are quiet. Our new ambassador arrives in two weeks.
Congratulations on law school. Enjoy yourself and lovely Vancouver.
Best of luck,
Nira

Hi Hilary,
Sorry to see you are leaving us - are you sure UVIC wouldn't be a better place to do a law degree? Less rain and I have a bunch of crazy friends there you could get to know. Oh well, if you want a fun place to stay I'll give them a call.
Don't work too hard, and think of us eveytime you have a drink while using a Pimpernel coaster.
