American Accents

Hmm - I'm not sure I'd qualify myself as Fargo-esque, but the last part is dead on!

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: North Central

"North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.

The Meow Mix

Ah exams. That wonderful time of year for all law students.

My cat has been quite interested in studying as well - as least you'd think so. I often leave my computer on because I am downloading things. And the cat has recently decided that a nice warm keyboard is a fantastic place to sit. After all, it's so much more comfortable than a bed, a sofa, a rug, or say... a chair in front of the fireplace.

Once, when I had someone over she repeatedly stepped on the volume so it would go ping, ping, ping, ping. Another time she got it playing this bizarre metallic tune - I had to shut it down to get it off. But she's actually taught me a few tricks. For example, she zoomed in to about 900% in my finder. Frankly I'm still not sure how she did that, but Apple-minus eventually fixed things. It did take me about 40 minutes and a long-distance phone call to reverse it.

And another time she turned the screen to reverse black. That's Apple+Option+Ctrl+8 in case you were wondering. Very handy for bright lighting apparently.

But my personal favourite has been the time she actually opened iTunes scrolled down and began playing Christmas carols off one of my playlists, which was kind of sweet to come home to. And quite a feat considering the last time I'd had it open I was in Party Shuffle - she had to do some scrolling! Let's just hope she didn't buy anything off the iTunes store.
